Welcome to the Decatur Art Guild. We are located in Decatur, Alabama. Anyone that enjoys the arts or crafts is welcome to become a member.

Our Statement of purpose is:

The Decatur Art Guild shall promote original arts and crafts by: 1) providing a forum for discussion of ideas and problems. 2) promoting community involvement thru workshops and special events. 3) providing information and coordinating local arts and crafts activities.

Our goals include encouraging artists and craftsmen to continue their work and improve the quality of their work; to encourage the community to become involved by sponsoring community-wide workshops and special events in various arts and crafts; to provide artists and craftsmen with the opportunity to meet and discuss their ideas and problems; to provide art and craft related information and to coordinate local art and craft activities. The Guild shall operate without profit, so that no part of its net earnings or assets shall ever be distributed as a dividend, or inure to the benefit of any private individual.
